When To Use The Right Kind Of Rambo Rugs

By Arline Bradley

Most modern homes are simply not complete without an animal as a member of the family. It is not unusual to visit the home of someone you know and see an array of pets like birds, cat, dogs, even rats. The more brave ones keep spiders and snakes and other poisonous creatures. Some are fascinated with bugs. Still most others have with them relatively bigger pets like cows and horses and other four legged creatures who wear rambo rugs on their backs.

Different people have different reasons why they keep animals in their homes and yards. Some say they have all these pets so that they will not feel lonely. They are comforted at the thought that their pets come bounding up the door to greet them when they get home from work. Some keep pets for them to feel safe. This is definitely why attack breeds of dogs are popular tenants in every establishments.

They can help you earn more money as well. Chickens and ducks are raised for their eggs. If the eggs are allowed to hatch, the young ones can be sold, too. If you have more than enough livestock, some of them can be bought by those in the food business. Other animals are bred for pedigree shows, such as dogs and horses. Their owners take pride in showing off their superior pedigree pets to a large crowd. Some horses are bred for racing purposes.

Yes, people have varied underlying reasons for having animals around the house. But whatever this may be, you should always be responsible for their total well being. You have to feed them with clean and appropriate food to keep them nourished. You should also provide them with a clean supply of water. They also need protection from harsh elements so you have to house them properly. Aside from these basic needs, you may also need to buy products for additional care.

Horses and other related animals require a different care from that of your common house pets. You most certainly can not keep them inside the house, so you have to have a stable where you can keep them especially during night time. They also need to have wide open spaces where they can run freely. Their coats usually grow longer to protect them from the cold, but if they are bred for show, their coats are usually trimmed from time to time.

Since the coats of these animals are kept trimmed, they have a low resistance to heat and cold. This is why you must provide them with horse rugs or blankets to keep them warm or cool, depending on the temperature. These blankets come in different types, each with a special purpose.

One such type is the turnout blanket. It is made up of warm material that will help the horse retain body heat to keep it warm during winter and cold weather. Its warmness also depends on its weight, so you can choose between the heavyweight, medium and lightweight turnout. Neck rugs to protect the head and neck are almost often paired with this type of rug to provide utmost protection against the cold.

During warm weather, another type of blanket is used. This is called the fleece blanket. This one has the ability to soak water and sweat from the body of the animal. This makes this an ideal rug to use especially after the beast has taken a bath or has just finished an exercise routine.

It is very satisfying to care for an animal. If you love them, they will love you back. In fact, they will even love you for a lifetime.
